Rustic Minimalist Tumbled Stone Necklace in Copper, Dendritic Yellow Jasper Natural Stone and Copper Pendant

This little tumbled stone necklace features a dendritic jasper shard that I tumbled way back in the 1960's. The stone is a mustard yellow color with black markings that look like pen and ink sketches, suggestive of leaves or mosses (dendrites). I made a whimsical copper prong setting for the stone. The setting is a hybrid between wire wrapping and soldering techniques that hugs the stone with tendril-like prongs that echo the dendritic patterns within the jasper pebble. The stone pendant in its setting is around 3/4-inch long. Presented on a solid copper 16-inch chain, this is a minimalist necklace that is interesting all by itself or layered with beaded strands or chains from your collection.

16-inch chain, pendant adds 1 inch.

Copper metal has a dark antiqued patina, hand buffed to reveal wome bright coppery highlights. The spicy mustard colored jasper adds a little hint of color but the overall feel is quite monochromatic and moody.
