Dramatic Stone Tablet Earrings, Striking Red and Brown Jasper Earrings in Copper

Sometimes, a beautifully patterned stone in striking colors is all that’s needed for a pair of earrings to become “dramatic” or “statement earrings”. That is certainly the case with these stone tablet earrings.

I selected leopard skin jasper long triangular drilled cabochons, 10 x 45mm, and wired them in solid copper wire. They hang all by themselves from my handmade copper ear hooks that I decorated with a 2.5mm faceted red agate. The antiqued copper wire blends harmoniously with the layered patterns in the jasper stone displaying chocolate brown, parchment, gray, and terracotta colors.  

2 1/2 inches long from the top of the ear wire. 

One earring weighs 3.8 grams, the other 4.3 grams. There is a perceptible difference in the thickness of the stones that accounts for the weight difference.
