Navy blue and white natural stone earrings feature sodalite daggers, white quartz rounds, and textured fine silver bead caps from the Karen Hill Tribes craftsmen of Thailand. These long boho earrings with their crisp summer-ready colors are eye-catching adornments you'll love to wear. These blue sodalite dagger earrings have a beautiful marbled appearance wtih intensely dark blue, medium blue, and white colors tinged with a hint of orange. I used sterling silver wire to wrap the blue stone daggers, stringing them with plump round snow quartz beads and small frosted quartz saucers. Pretty petal design fine silver caps from Thai Hill Tribes separate the blue sodalite and white quartz stones in these dramatic earrings.

You might not be familliar with sodalite. It is a mineral that gets its name from its sodium content. Sodalite is a dark blue color typically, but can also be gray, orange, yellow, or pink. Sodalite is often a component of lapis lazuli and can be mistaken for lapis at least superficially. Most sodalite in the bead trade or for cutting en cabochon is a rich dark blue with white veins, and sometimes rusty orange. Sodalite is a relatively soft stone, and is often used for ornamental carvings. Sodalite has been called "the poet's stone" since in metaphysical lore it is said to help express yourself in writing, to communicate clearly and end arguments.
