Yellow Jasper Carved Leaf Dangle Earrings, Natural Stone Earrings for Fall Season
$42.00
Take a look at these yellow jasper carved leaf earrings. The yellow jasper leaves are wired in copper and dangle benieath a cylindrical rhyolite bead. The rhyolite stone, also known as rainforest jasper, reveals gorgeous shades of green in bold swirling patterns mixed with yellow, brown, rust, and white. The two stones together evoke an autumn scene where the golden leaves are dropping from a tree clothed in the mottled greens, yellows, and oranges of both summer and fall.
The yellow jasper leaves are carved in a graceful three dimensional shape. The front side of the leaf is cupped or folded a bit and has the leaf veins lightly carved into the stone. The back side doesn't have the vein markings, but the shape is somewhat curled and twisted and looks charming as the leaves dangle and move when worn.
These fall-inspired natural stone earrings with yellow jasper and rainforest jasper would make a brilliant hostess gift at Thanksgiving. Being made in pure copper, these yellow leaf earrings are a great 7th anniversary gift idea for your wire, especially if she longs for fall all summer long.

Rhyolite, or rainforest jasper, is a unique gemstone found in Australia. It was formed during an eruption of the long extinct Mount Hay volcano near Queensland, Australia about 120 million years ago. Rain forest jasper gets its name because the mixture of green, red, yellow, brown, and orange colorations reminds people of a rainforest canopy. The spherical cavities (orbs) are often lined with opal and tridymite; and filled with chalcedony. The stone is also frequently known as rainforest rhyolite, orbicular jasper and spherulitic rhyolite. It was first mined commercially in the late 1960’s and continues to be a popular gemstone with cutters and collectors around the world.
