Textured Brass Circle Earrings with Red Jasper Triangles, Geometric Stylized Sun Earrings

Hand stamped textured brass circles and red jasper triangles unite in these energetic, geometric dangle earrings by Pebbles At My Feet. Rich, golden brass disks, textured with a series of dancing spirals, are meant to evoke an image of the sun or the cheerful energy of a sunny day spent outdoors. Even the red jasper stones add to the energy with their angular cut and gorgeous striped, layered coloration not usually found in small stone beads.

These dynamic dangle earrings are part of my Sol! Collection. Pebbles At My Feet’s SOL! Collection celebrates the sunny days of summer, mountain sunrises and sunsets, and glorious turquoise skies.

I textured the brass discs for these earrings with a similar but not matching design to my other sun pieces. Celtic spirals and straight-line accents dance around the perimeter of the golden brass medallions, and a swirl decorates the center. I filed and sanded and polished the brass, then peened all around the circles to add more rustic hammered character.

I chose the red jasper triangles for their wonderful and unique coloration. Brick red, terracota, and pinkish beige feathery stripes and bands present an amazing red rock landscape for my wire wrapped design to flow across. The stone triangles measure about 16mm per side (5/8 inch). The stones dangle freely beneath the circular brass charms.

Jasper, in all its forms, is considered a powerful healing stone. Jasper is regarded as a gemstone that gives a sense of well-being, intensifying that feeling. Red jasper has been used as a stone of protection for thousands of years. It is believed to possess a dynamic but not agressive energy.
