Small Drop Earrings with Blue Sodalite Stone

These small drop earrings with a single sodalite cube are a wonderful choice for everyday wear. Blue sodalite natural stone beads in a hue I would call "dark cornflower" or "air force blue", liberally marbled with white, are strung on a piece of argentium silver wire that has been shaped into a small wishbone earring. The blue stone cubes will rotate on the wires, showing their marbled patterns and reflecting some light in the process. The blue stones and shining silver look crisp and fresh together, just perfect for Summertime's whites, pastels, and brights in your wardrobe.

These small earrings are just 7/8 inch long and hang without dangling. Look put together in your running-errands outfit or lounging at home.

Made with a single piece of sterling argentium wire. I melted a ball at the bottom to hold the bead, added the stones, then shaped the tail of wire into the ear hook. Careful hammering at the top of the bead stack widened the wire to keep the beads from sliding off. They will move, though, and might need a little nudge to keep them nestled at the bottom of the earring. But that movement makes them fun to fidget with, just tugging them down to feel them securely in your piercing is calming.
