These bird earrings feature artisan crafted pewter charms with primitive bird motif, paired with genuine turquoise and tourmaline gemstones. I used bronze-finish pewter charms, by the gifted artisans of Inviciti, hand wrapping them with copper wire in a complementary aged finish along with tiny faceted tourmaline beads in shades of brown and briliant blue turquoise chips. The birds charms with their gemstone decoration dangle from handmade copper ear wires also with an aged patina.

Primitive and whimsical, these natural stone earrings are delightful adornments for fall. The darkened copper and bronze-finished charms have a warm and cozy glow that you love in the season. Perfect for the turquoise-lover too.

SIZE

  • 2 1/4 inches long from the top of the ear wires
  • About 5/8 inch wide
  • Each earring weighs about 4.5 grams, a little less than the weight of a US nickel coin

I just love the look of turquoise with darkened copper and bronze. The darkest brown in the tourmaline stones blends well with the metals in the earrings. Some of the tourmaline leans toward golden brown which lends a nice autumnal quality to these earrings. I made them for my "Fall Twilight" collection.
