Horse Earrings, Southwest Red Stone Horse and Turquoise Earrings

I fell in love with these carved fetish style horse beads. The beautiful brick red color, marbled with tan, the sweet shape and size of the carved ponies is delightful. These little guys have so much character! Paired with Nevada and Sonora, Mexico turquoise, these little pinto horses will delight any cowgirl or horse-enthusiast.

For these horse-lover earrings, I used carved stone horses measuring about 7/8 inch nose to tail and ½ inch at the withers.  I love their color - they look like “painted ponies” pinto or paint horse in reddish brown and cream. These cuties are strung on my handmade torch balled sterling silver headpins with a long thin chip of Carico Lake turquoise (~1 x 9mm) and a little rounded 5mm chip of Campitos turquoise. Earwires are 21 gauge sterling silver, just slightly thinner than my usual handcrafted hooks.  

1 1/2 inches long, each earring weighs 3 grams.
