These dark red jasper leaf earrings flaunt the rich red and vintage golden glow we look forward to each autumn. Poppy jasper carved leaves, approximately 14 x 18mm, dangle from brass charms that I hand stamped and textured in a swirling leaves pattern. Wired in 22-gauge brass wire, the jasper and brass ornament dangles from handmade Niobium ear wires.
Niobium is completely nickel free and safe for those with metal allergies. Naturally gray in color, the wire I used has been commercially anodized to a bronze color that complements the antiqued brass. You will see the gray niobium showing at the cut end of the ear wire where I rounded and polished it. The anodized coating is stable but can abrade or scratch if a polish cloth is used.
