These handmade earrings showcase two different color tones of amethyst, February's birthstone. Made with cloudy lilac amethyst coins and clear, dark purple star cut rounds the two natural stones are wired together with light patina copper wire for a rustic artistic vibe.
I used 14mm smooth coins of pale amethyst. These stones are not super-clear, but rather cloudy and this in some way helps to show off the pretty lilac color. The amethyst coins are strung on copper wire with a sweep of the wire crossing the face of the coin. Above sits a dark purple amethyst faceted nugget/round while extra copper wire wraps define the waist between the two stones. Ear wires are my handmade solid copper French hooks with spiraled loops.

Just shy of 1 3/4 inches long from the top of the ear wire. Each earring weighs 3.5 grams.
