Colorado Found Stone Necklace on Cotton Cord, Boho Copper Wire Wrap Pendant

$30.00

An earthy brown and red tumbled stone from my locally collected stash is wire wrapped in darkened copper wire and simply presented on a waxed cotton cord. This boho layering necklace is a great way to keep a bit of Colorado close to your heart. The Colorado found stone is a nice chunk of common rock that I find scattered all around my property in South Park. I call it "backyard jasper" in the sense that "jasper" is any colorful stone. I know it is not truly jasper since the material is not hard like quartz; still it tumble-polishes to a nice semigloss shine and shows off its lovely rusty earth, yellow ochre, and brick red colors. This easy-to-wear casual stone necklace is 24-inches long: slip over your head or use the handcrafted copper clasp to fit over bulkier clothing.

  • Handmade necklace made from a stone I found and polished, copper wire, and cotton cord
  • Pure copper wire wrap, antiqued to a dark brown color
  • Black waxed cotton cord
  • Handcrafted copper hook and eye
  • Unisex style
  • Stone pendant is 2-inches long by about 0.75-inch wide (51 x 19mm)
  • Cord is finished to 24-inches long

I thought up my business name, Pebbles At My Feet, with backyard finds such as this in my mind. I'm always looking down toward the pebbles at my feet, and here in Colorado, there's often something really cool or colorful there. This is such a sweet and straightforward necklace that belies the care and time with with stones are collected, tumble-polished (a minimum of 5 weeks) and then sorted again for drilling and making into jewelry. With each piece of tumbled stone jewelry I hope to create a simple, free-spirited wire wrap, that feels like you picked up this pebble and put it right on.
