Carved Stone Bird Earrings, Red Brown Bird Earrings Accented in Turquoise

Here's a pair of sweet bird earrings with pinkish brown carved birds and Campitos turquoise. If you like interesting beads and have a love of the Southwest, then you'll enjoy these unusual little birdie earrings.

Turquoise makes me happy. Carved stone beads - especially animal fetish style beads like these birds, make me happy too. And when those carved beads look good with turquoise? Utter joy!

Here, I used carved stone birds measuring about ⅞ inch beak to tail. The stone has the look of pipestone, but this cannot be confirmed. The pinkish clay colored stone and the dot of blue paint for the birds’ eyes said “bring me turquoise”. I obeyed. I hung the birds on my sterling silver torched ball headpins and stacked a 3mm sterling silver saucer and 5 tiny Campitos turquoise nugget/chips on top.

2 ⅞ inches long, each earring weighs 2.3 grams. These earrings are ready to bring a cheerful mood any day and occasion that you wear them.
