Blue-Green Kyanite Necklace, Natural Stone Bar Necklace with Dusky Blue and Light Green Stones

Here's a simple necklace with lots of rustic character you'll love wearing everyday. This blue green kyanite necklace features small blades of natural, unfinished kyanite in shades of dusky blue and light greenish gray. The raw kyanite chips are arranged in a line with tiny biright silver discs in-between. The natural stone bar is wired into a rectangular link chain of antiqued sterling silver.

This kyanite bar necklace makes a great layering piece. Add a choker or much longer chain or beaded strand from your collection. The unusual and hard to describe colors of blueish green, dusky blue, and antique glass green will go with lots of other natural stone pieces you might have. Try amethyst, turquoise, moss agate, or black onyx for a start. This pair of earrings (sold separately) would complete your raw kyanite jewelry set.

To make this unique natural stone bar necklace, I chose 7 shards of kyanite from a bead strand. The colors are various tones of blue green from the palest "antique glass" color to a darker teal gray tone. The blades are slightly graduated and I placed the longest chip in the middle framing it with shorter stones. The stones have a smooth river stone feel to them - they won't pinch you! I strung the little collection of kyanite onto a piece of sterling silver wire using bright silver spacers between the stones. I wired  a loop at each end of the bar to securely attach it to the necklace chain. When worn, you see only the edges of the stones, but I know you'll enjoy fanning them out and just gazing at the individual stones whenever the necklace is in your hands. That's okay, playing is allowed. Just make sure the stones are dangling from the wire correctly before putting on your necklace.

The kyanite stone bar or inset pendant measures about 1.25 inches long. The longest piece of kyanite at the front hangs down about 0.75inch. The 19-inch long necklace closes with a sterling silver lobster clasp on a handmade silver "bow tie" wire ring. The chain can be shortened upon request. Please leave a message at checkout, or contact me at
