Black Brass Circle Earrings with Carved Amethyst Gemstones

Beautiful stamped brass hoops with a matte black finish have a stack of dark purple amethyst dangling inside.

I love the dark shadowy mood of black and purple colors together. While designing these earrings, I thought about how everything looks purple or gray at night. I imagined that even a stack of pumpkins on my neighbor’s porch would look otherworldly. Without a candle to lend some light, the gourds would be a shadowy purple hue. That might be weird, but oh how beautiful these purple amethyst pumpkins are!

I used brass hoops with a subtle etch pattern that is old fashioned-looking, but the black finish makes them lean toward Goth. I stacked three gorgeous dark purple amethyst pumpkin cut and carved beads on handmade sterling silver headpins and wired them to dangle inside the hoops. These black and purple beauties are suspended on my handcrafted sterling silver ear wires.
