Beaded Agate Earrings in Copper, Golden Quartz and Yellow Crazy Lace Agate Natural Stone Earrings

Express your love of fall with natural stone earrings in warm yellow and orange hues. These beaded drop earrings feature crazy lace agate in soft butter yellow color banded in rust, red, and grey tones, orange hessonite garnet, and golden quartz in pale vanilla cream. I chose to use faceted stones for the sparks of light the facets bring to the design and copper metal for its rustic warmth and down-to-earth quality.

These agate earrings would make a thoughtful gift for the woman you are thankful for this Thanksgiving or Christmas.

These agate and quartz earrings are strung on my handmade copper head pins and swing on handcrafted copper ear wires in a shepherd hook style. The beaded drop starts with a 10mm round golden quartz bead, some thin copper spacer beads, a 12mm flattened rondel of crazy lace agate, and finishes with a 3.5mm round orange garnet gem.

Golden quartz, as far as I can discover, is rock crystal quartz stained by iron impurities to a reddish or golden yellow color. In the bead trade and metaphysical crystal works, it is called "Golden Healer Quartz" or Golden Hematoid Quartz". It displays varying shades of creamy white to golden yellow with the color mostly confined to layers or interfaces in the quartz, rather than transparent but uniform color like you see with citrine.
