Brass Post Earrings with Smoky Quartz Drop, Brown Stone Spiral Post Earrings

For those who prefer dainty earrings, here's a pair of brass post earrings with lovely faceted smoky quartz beads. These handmade brass drop earrings feature a spiral detail that covers the piercing and a comfortable silicone clutch back.

Personally, I wear shorter earrings most of the time so I make quite a few small earrings. I enjoy bringing an artistic touch to even a simple pair of posts.

These post drop earrings are made in red brass with an antiqued finish. The post foundation is a spiral with a little loop at the bottom for hanging an ornament. It’s a “drop earring” because the ornament “drops” just below the earlobe. The drop is a gorgeous smoky quartz faceted rondelle, about 6x7-8mm in size. 

The brass post earring is 20 gauge wire and has been worked, hammered, and rolled to harden the post. Still, I advise using a twisting motion (rather than straight pushing) when securing the earnut onto the post. The clutch is latex free silicone rubber.

The spiral post earring is about 1/2 inch long, which should place the smoky quartz drop just below your earlobe. Each earring weighs 1 gram with the clutch.
